Pidgin is a multi-protocol instant messaging client (they call it a “universal chat client”). It supports XMPP (Jabber & GTalk), AIM, ICQ, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and most other major instant messaging systems. It’s quite convenient being able to log into multiple accounts (with different protocols) simultaneously and chat with everyone from one interface….
