Colour Codes: Supported, Unsupported, Abandoned
iTouch Cleaner v1.3
A quick and dirty fix for the product-placement in Logitech’s iTouch software.
Basic code for an early attempt at implementing the Libertas Infinitum Design, written in C++. Included is a .deb package, for installation on any Debian-based GNU/Linux distribution.
3D Model Previewer v0.0.0.11
A convenient model previewer, used to assess how a model would appear under several in-game conditions.
FF Remix v20040116
What was intended to be a clone of an early 8-bit Final-Fantasy game. Abandoned after starting work on Libertas Infinitum, due to lack of innovation in the project.
Game :: 2D Movement v0.0.0.6
An early attempt to implement a functional 2-dimensional game. This component probably would have become an in-game mapping system.
Game :: 3D Movement v0.0.0.1
An early attempt at implementing a functional 3-dimensional movement system. This would component would have provided the core for in-game movement, and model control.
Game :: Combat Engine v0.0.0.5
Implementation of the Libertas Infinitum combat system (as it was in the early design).
Game :: Jukebox v0.0.0.1
A basic music-playing system, intended to be a component of a larger project. This component would have allowed custom playlists in-game.
Game :: Network v0.0.0.2
A basic network connection system. This component would have provided multiplayer functionality.
Game :: Terrain v0.0.0.5
A basic terrain-rendering system, using bitmap files as a source for terrain shape.
Packet Surfer v20031128
An early effort to implement Packet Surfer. Discontinued because it ended up being crap, and disregarding the design almost entirely.
Unknown GUI v20040601
I don’t remember what this is or was supposed to be, and it doesn’t run on GNU/Linux, so I have no way of checking to find out. If someone wants to email me a screenshot of what this looks like, I’m sure I can figure out what it does.
Documentation tool for Hewlett-Packard technical agents, designed to promote readable documentation, and improve call handling times.
Productivity suite for Telus frontline agents, designed to reduce workload and improve performance.
Batch Convert v20041227
An addon script to handle large batches of files using Loran T. Hughes’ ‘mp3ogg’ script. Superceded by a single line of bash-script.
enBot is a robust module-based IRC bot, written entirely in Perl. The purpose is to provide a unified framework for developers of interactive IRC content. Rather than writing a complete bot from scratch, enBot provides a core, and allows developers to write modules to achieve the desired functionality. enBot aims to be to Perl as Eggdrop is to Tcl.
Evolution was an experiment with AI. It created two computer-controlled opponents, and played a game of rock-paper-scissors between them, attempting to learn from their successes and failures. Evolution is more of a playground for experimenting with concepts than a practical application of any sort.
A handy little utility to manipulate the LCD on a Logitech G15 keyboard, depends on Philip Lawatsch’s g15lcd. Available in .tar.bz2 and .deb formats, for convenience.
Quiet Shell v20050206
A very primitive perl script to avoid very primitive shell logging.
A quick-and-dirty script to check multiple shoutcast servers, and compare the bitrate they are streaming at to the bitrate they are allowed to be streaming at (this tool is for administration), alerting the owner of any servers exceeding their quota, and sending a complete report to the server host.
apt-clone provides a convenient way to replicate package selections across multiple hosts (Note: configurations are not preserved). As the name implies, it is designed for use on Debian-based systems, and has been tested on Debian and Ubuntu.
Batch Convert v20041227
An addon script to handle large batches of files with Loran T. Hughes’ ‘mp3ogg’ script. This script supercedes the Perl implementation of the same idea, with the same name.
Debian Recommended Packages v20050420
A shellscript to automate the installation of several applications that I consider to be ‘not full of suck’, whatever that means. The script is essentially a meta-distribution using Debian as a base.
g15lcd Binaries v1.2-3
Binaries and initscripts for Philip Lawatsch’s g15lcd. Available in .tar.bz2 and .deb formats, for convenient installation.
Global Warming, MS-DOS Edition v20041102
A bootable disc image, used to quietly work around Hyperion Technologies’ ‘Deep Freeze’ software, without causing damage. The disc also includes a basic MS-DOS system, with a minimal toolset for maintenance. This archive is encrypted, and the password lost. The original floppies have corrupted beyond recovery. Sadly, this once-useful tool seems lost. The encrypted archive is provided here in the hopes that someone may find a way to recover the files within.
